Soon after being a graduate, she worked as a sports journalist for East German television known as Deutscher Fernsehfunk (DFF).
She has served in various roles while working at the DFF including as an editor, TV Presenter, reporter and also has served in the foreign department. She was an editor and moderator for the DFF Journal called azur – das Reisejournal.
She left the DFF in 1991 only to join the likes of Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen(ZDF) also known as Second German Televison public broadcaster in Germany.
She put her legs as a journalist at the ZDF and never looked back and since 1992, she is working as Political Editor and moderates the ZDF Morning Magazine, which is a a morning news and information program produced by ZDF every two weeks.
